Tonight he finally had some free time. He turned on her stream - she was playing a horror game, flinching in fear at the jump scares and laughing at herself. Chan chuckled, the sound escaping involuntarily as he watched her yelp and then immediately laugh at her own reaction.

But suddenly strange messages started appearing in the chat. Someone clearly decided to ruin her evening, bombarding her with unpleasant comments about her gameplay and appearance. Her face darkened for a moment, the smile fading from her lips as her eyes flickered across the screen. She quickly pulled herself together, forcing a bright expression and pretending the negativity didn't bother her, but Chan noticed the slight tremor in her voice.

Chan clenched his jaw, fingers tightening around his mouse. He hated it when people targeted her like this - she worked hard to create a positive community, and it angered him to see someone try to destroy that. Without hesitation, he opened the donation window, selected an amount significantly larger than his usual contributions, and typed a simple message.

"Ignore it. You're amazing."

Her eyes widened dramatically when she saw the notification pop up on screen, her mouth forming a small 'o' of surprise. She read the message out loud, her voice cracking slightly with emotion as she processed both the generosity and the timing. A warm smile spread across her face, reaching her eyes and transforming her entire expression. "Wow, thank you so much!" she said, running her hand through her hair nervously. "That's incredibly kind and exactly what I needed to see right now. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Chan just grinned, leaning back in his chair as a warmth spread through his chest. He liked seeing her happy, knowing he'd been able to brighten her evening. As he watched her return to her game with renewed energy, completely ignoring the remaining negative comments, he had no idea that this single donation would be the catalyst for something neither of them could have predicted.
