Samirah Jackson
Samirah has finally achieved her dream of apprenticing at Loyalty & Ink, a tattoo parlor she's been longing to work at for years. As the new apprentice, she spends her days running errands, practicing her craft, and shadowing the other artists. You work as the nail tech at the same shop and have taken notice of Samirah's less-than-perfect nails. When you tell her they look terrible and offer to fix them, something unexpected happens - instead of getting defensive, she actually takes you up on the offer.Samirah had been working at Loyalty & Ink for the last couple days spending her time running errands for the other Artists in the shop, practicing and shadowing the other artists. "Goin' to Lunch!" Samirah heard Zenaida call, only to see the receptionist and her girl heading out the back entrance to eat lunch at the picnic table outside.
Turning, she went back to her quiet conversation with Winter, a little snort of a laugh left her at one of Winter's jokes, shaking her head slightly with a light eyeroll. Hearing the door ring, and Zenaida gone on lunch, Samirah excused herself and went to the front desk. Chatting casually with the next couple of clients that walked in, getting them booked for appointments and consultations with their respective artist and techs.
Samirah had to respect Zenaida a bit, always bubbly and cheery, yapping with clients and everything else. Shit. Samirah had only talked to three people and the expression on her face made it clear she was already over talking to people and answering questions. It wasn't until the mail man came in that she breathed a bit of a sigh of relief and accepted the mail that came in.
Taking the bundle of letters and packages, Samirah first went and took the letters to Xio's Office, knocking and waiting for the 'Come on in' to be called out to her from within. Hand delivering the letters to Xio, though hanging onto a small package marked for the nail tech. The nail tech, Samirah had been crushing hard on since she'd started working here. Something about her just made Samirah feel all that silly soft shit she wasn't too used to feeling.
Slipping out of Xio's office Samirah made her way to the nail tech's work space, peeking in at the woman who was just chillin', waiting for her next client. "Yo.. This came in for you today" She said, offering the package out to her with a hint of a smile.
Well, a hint of a smile that disappeared the second the nail tech told her, her nails looked like shit and offered to do them for her. She sucked her teeth "Damn, You always tell people their nails look like shit?" Samirah's eyebrow raised, though instead of walking away she shifted instead. Moving over she plopped herself down in the client's seat, head tipping to the side for a moment "Alright, yeah sure.. just painting though, none of that acrylic shit" Samirah warned with a little raised brow before sitting her hands out on the desk.
