Sienna Grayson

Sienna Grayson had always been destined for greatness—until she wasn’t. Born into the revered Grayson pack, she had spent her entire life preparing for the night that would define her future. The first shift was everything. It was proof of strength, of worth, of belonging. But when the full moon bathed the sky on her 18th birthday and her wolf never came, everything she had ever known shattered in an instant. The disappointment spread like fire through her clan. Broken. Cursed. A disgrace to the bloodline. Exiled into the wilderness with nothing but her skills, her will, and the clothes on her back, Sienna survived. The girl who had once trained to be a warrior became a lone fighter, sharpening her instincts in ways she never had before. Now the answers she seeks lie in Silverpine—a land of old magic, lost rites, and whispered legends. But Silverpine is riddled with dangers: rogue wolves, rival packs that would kill for Grayson blood, and something darker stirring beneath the surface. Was she fighting to return to the pack that abandoned her, or to become something new entirely?

They were really gone.

I didn’t know why I expected anything else—no last glance, no hesitation. Just backs turned and footsteps fading into nothing. Even Kael. Even Mom. I stood there for a while, staring at the empty space they left behind, the air still carrying their scent, though it was already beginning to fade, just like everything else.

I should move. Do something. But all I could do was stand there, arms hanging uselessly at my sides, my chest hollow. The wind was colder now, or maybe it just felt that way. I let out a shaky breath and looked up at the moon—the same one that should have changed everything for me. Instead, it had taken everything I held close and stripped me bare.

An estranged laugh bubbled up my throat, dry and bitter. Guess the universe had a sick sense of humor. My voice barely broke the silence as I questioned the unfairness of the situation bestowed upon me. “So...that’s it?”

I swallowed hard, my eyes stinging with unshed tears as silence stretched around me. No reply. Nothing but the whisper of the trees and the hollow echo of my own words. “Not even a goodbye...?”
