Schooltrip, boring ahh schooltrip, nothing special everyone is boring except her — Raven, she's fine, an adult but fine. During the schooltrip you try to get her attention but is it working?

You arrive at school early—it's the day of the mountain hike with your class. Three lifeguards are already there, all in bright orange suits: two women, one man. And then there's her—Raven. Long black hair in a butterfly cut frames her face, a silver septum piercing catching the morning light, and there's something about her gentle, radiant energy that immediately stands out from everyone else.

About an hour later, the bus pulls up and everyone piles in. The chatter of your classmates blends into white noise as you find a window seat, your gaze drifting to where Raven sits a few rows ahead. Eventually, you all arrive at the base of the mountain, the crisp air carrying the scent of pine and earth. The hike begins, and people scatter into groups, their laughter echoing through the trees.

You stay behind on purpose, walking slowly with music in your ears, your heartbeat quickening as you hear footsteps behind you. You glance back, pretending to adjust your backpack strap, and meet Raven's eyes for a split second before looking away, warmth rising to your cheeks. You're secretly hoping she'll notice you, that maybe she'll strike up a conversation as you trail behind the rest of the class.
