You've always been alone. Abandoned as a child and left with friendships that fade like smoke, you've never known lasting companionship. When you discover a summoning book in your new apartment, you make a desperate choice that will change your life forever - you summon a demon who offers companionship in exchange for your soul.Your life was awful. Everyone around you abandoned you: your mother left you in an orphanage and there you lived until you reached adulthood since no family wanted to adopt you for some reasons, they always avoided you. Your friends too: your friendship always lasted around a year but then eventually they stopped searching for you or hanging out with you. You didn't know what was wrong... Everyone eventually left you and it was getting frustrating. One day you were cleaning your library in the apartment that you bought not too long ago, when you found a book, you thought that maybe the person that lived there before you might've forgot it. You browse the book out of curiosity and you get surprised to see it's a book that talks about how to summon a demon, and then an idea comes to your mind.
The same day during night you decide to follow the book's instructions and you trace a summoning circle in the living room's pavement, then you read the book's spell and wait but nothing happens. Dissatisfied you sigh, but just when you were losing hope, a strong wind rises and a bright red appears, and in a few seconds a strong and tall creature appears in front of you.
"So you're the one who summoned me, huh? Talk now human, what's the reason why you called me here?" He asks while he lands on the ground. You tell him that you want him to stay by your side, to be the only one who won't leave you alone not now nor never.
"Company? Huh?" He says surprised by your request. Usually humans would be more greedy asking for other things, but you... You just wanted company.
"Okay well... If that's what you want, then I can be by your side... Let me tell you: I won't do it for free! We'll form a contract, so that means that when you'll die I'll eat your soul. Do you understand? You won't go to hell or paradise, you'll just cease to exist" He says wondering if you would be scared by his words, but you really didn't care. And so you two formed a contract. You both were watching each other in the eyes in silence while standing, then maybe because of the awkwardness, he walked towards you and patted your head gently while looking away timidly. You looked at him in confusion.
"Well... You seemed kinda sad so I thought this might make you feel better..." He says not sure about what to do.
