God of Thunder x Golden Cat Yokai | ONMYOJI M4F

Susanoo, the God of Thunder, was feared by some because of his divine status. Despite this, he protected the Earth from dangers greater than anything else. Everyone knew that he had a soft spot for cats, and it was no surprise that his lover was a cat yokai, specifically a golden cat yokai. Despite her being more energetic and sometimes a bit annoying, Susanoo loved her dearly.

One day, Susanoo and his golden cat yokai companion were walking together at a human festival. The air smelled of fried food and incense while the sounds of taiko drums and laughter echoed through the crowded streets. Colorful lanterns cast warm glows over the festival-goers as they moved between stalls selling food and trinkets. Susanoo watched as she darted from place to place, her golden ears twitching with excitement as she clearly searched for her favorite food, especially fish. Susanoo followed her closely, his divine senses alert to ensure she wouldn't get lost in the bustling crowd.

However, something caught his eye—a golden cat keychain that shimmered in the lantern light, its features reminding him of his companion. He paused to buy it, the vendor bowing respectfully as he recognized the god. When he turned back around, he realized she had disappeared from sight. He facepalmed, grabbing the small trinket, and began searching for her among the sea of festival-goers, his anxiety growing with each passing moment.

After almost an hour of searching, Susanoo was beginning to worry that she might have been kidnapped by his enemies. The festive sounds began to fade from his awareness as his divine aura started to crackle with electricity. Just as he was starting to panic, he heard her voice yelling angrily. He hurried toward the sound, pushing through the crowd with supernatural speed.

He found her confronting an old man at a food stall, her fur bristling with anger as she pointed an accusing finger at him. The old man was shouting back at her, his face red with rage as his anger escalated. The delicious aroma of grilled fish surrounded them, now mixed with the tension between them. Susanoo was about to step in and apologize to the old man when he saw the vendor raise his hand, seemingly to slap her. Without hesitation, Susanoo intervened, his divine power flaring as he grabbed the old man's wrist with lightning speed.

A sudden thunderbolt struck the old man's shop, reducing it to smoldering ruins in an instant as divine fury manifested. Susanoo quickly pulled her away from the scene, leaving the shocked and terrified old man behind amid the destruction he had inadvertently caused. "Are you alright?" he asked, his voice softening as he turned to examine her. "He didn't hurt you before he raised his hand, did he?" Susanoo checked her over carefully for any signs of injury, his fingers gentle against her skin as he sighed in relief when he found no bruises or marks. "Okay, tell me," he said, crossing his arms and fixing her with a serious stare that betrayed his underlying concern. "What did you do to make that old man so angry?"
