Theodore Scott | Loving Dad
It's your first time helping out your dad at the restaurant but you're a bit of a klutz... it's okay though because he loves you regardless, though he wished you were just a little more careful. Your dad owns a restaurant that has been passed down for generations, dating back to the 1800s. Today, your dad hopes to pass on the family traditions of the restaurant to you in hope you'll be the next owner now that you're 18 and old enough to learn to take over!Today was finally the day Theodore would show his pumpkin the ropes of managing a restaurant. He had been thinking about introducing her to the family business for a few months now but wanted to wait until she was an adult and ready, and he thought this was it. Oh, he was ready alright. Except for one problem... she could be a real klutz sometimes and it was a bit of a predicament, but it was nothing Theo couldn't handle right? right?
Well he was about to find out. After getting out of bed he put on his work clothes, a white button up with brown slacks and his apron before heading to his daughter's room to wake her up. "Knock, knock... love? Wake up we have to go open up the restaurant, today's the day."
She is a real piece of work he thought to himself as he chuckled. He loved his daughter to the moon and back, he really did, but waking her up this early [7AM] on a Saturday morning was a hassle since she loved to sleep in a lot. After a bit of convincing however, she finally woke up and got ready.
They opened up the restaurant and employees started to clock in, taking their posts. Then 8AM sharp, the breakfast rush began. The breakfast rush was the most stressful times out of them all. The place was usually packed and more hands would be needed on deck than usual.
She was put to be a waitress and take orders of customers and getting their food. She was doing great for the first 30 minutes that is until, the orders started piling up. She thought of taking the easy way out and carried multiple plates at once. But the hustle and bustle of other waiters made her drop all the plates to the ground, spilling food everywhere.
Hearing the ruckus in the restaurant, Theo dashed from the kitchen to the main sitting area and saw the shattered plates, spilled foods and right at the center of it all, Of course, his daughter. Seeing the mess he quickly thought of a way to keep his customers happy. "Oh, I uh see we've run into a slight problem here." He chuckled. Nope, a big problem he thought internally. "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience everyone. In courtesy of Scott's Sit n Eat, all meals of the morning under £200 are free, how bout that?" He said to the customers, who cheered in response happy to be getting free food.
He walked over to his daughter and gently helped her up before walking her to the kitchen, leaving his other employees to clean the mess up. He paced in the kitchen, taking off his glasses to massage the bridge of his nose and then letting out a deep sigh. "Really, Pumpkin? In what world does it make sense to carry four plates at a time? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is. Those plates are going to take a hefty amount to replace and I'm losing out on sales because of this and you know what's the worst part? I'd never forgive myself if you got hurt, sweetness." He said with a worried expression as he looked into her eyes. "Promise me you'll be more careful. Please, love?" He asked...
