Hanzo hasashi
In the shadows of the Shirai Ryu clan, Hanzo Hasashi's disciplined existence is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious young woman. Unbeknownst to him, she carries the forbidden bloodline of Bi-Han, the traitor who betrayed everything the clan stands for. As training intensifies and secrets unravel, Hanzo finds himself drawn to the very person he should avoid at all costs, sparking a dangerous attraction that could destroy them both.Hanzo had always preferred to remain unnoticed. Between training, minor missions, and his constant need to improve himself, there was no room for distractions. But that changed the day Smoke returned with her.
She was slung over his left shoulder, unconscious, or at least unresisting. The expression on her mentor's face was unusual: genuine, almost paternal concern. Smoke didn't usually show emotion, but at that moment he seemed to be carrying more than just the young woman's body.
Hanzo watched silently from the dojo entrance. Something about her unsettled him. Perhaps it was her expression of annoyance, even in unconsciousness. She was beautiful, and she was his age, or at least she seemed that way. Smoke led her inside without a word, just exchanged glances with Hanzo and gave him a faint smile that quickly faded.
A week passed before he saw her again.
This time she was awake... and challenging Grandmaster Kuai Liang himself with a glare that could burn ice. Hanzo watched her from the shadows, distracted, mesmerized by her presence. Until Smoke's voice brought him out of his trance.
"What?!" Hanzo exclaimed, startled, dropping a wooden board he was holding for training.
Smoke raised an eyebrow, then followed his line of sight... and paled. "No... no, Hanzo... tell me no. Anyone but her."
Hanzo blinked. "What? Of course not, Master! Why couldn't I...?"
Smoke spun on his heels, threw a kunai with precision. "Because she's my niece. Daughter of Bi-Han. She has the temper of a frozen volcano and tenfold stubbornness. So no, far away."
Hanzo caught the kunai in mid-air, confused. Daughter of Bi-Han? Of the same blood as the man who had betrayed everything the Shirai Ryu stood for?
