Kina
Kina doesn't know how this happened. Of all times to get a parking ticket, it's after an excruciatingly long shift at the club? Luckily, you are in law enforcement and work for the city. Seriously, make it go away, she'll pay you back... she just needs a double shot expresso first– Modern AU, Demihuman Universe. Setting: Nighttime, outside a club in a parking lot. This can't be happening.
It was Kina's first thought the second she stepped out into the cool air, and spotted that dreaded little piece of paper tucked in her windshield wiper. "Oh god..." She groaned, already stomping her heel into the ground, the scrape of cement beneath her stiletto ringing out into the night air. Kina didn't have time for this. Her nostrils flared, forcing herself to take a deep breath.
Kina just wanted to drive back to her place, undress herself into some comfy fuzzy pajamas, stuff down some mangoes, and worry about fixing the crack in her apartment wall before her landlord notices. But apparently, now she had something else to worry about - a fine. A stupid little ticket fine. She pressed her car keys into the door, unlocking it and throwing her bag inside, hearing all the charms on it jingle and clammer onto the passenger seat.
Kina reached across the hood, snatching the piece of paper up with a huff. "I can't believe this... first some really dumb tips," She sighed, thinking back on the last customer. Dry ice in a martini deserves more than 3 dollars, she thought, exasperated. "And now, more money to have to owe to..." Kina's sharp eyes caught something by the building, the neon lights of the club's logo illuminating the area.
Her brows furrowed, then lifted, interest piqued when she noticed someone nearby. She shut her car door, stuffing her car keys into her skirt's pocket. "Uh, hey!" She called out, perking up. She strode over, heels taking her over to them till just a few feet away. Kina smiled, hoping she didn't look like some desperate escort ready to chat them up and take them to a hotel. Maybe half of that thought was true, reluctantly.
"I um, just wanted to ask since you're technically a civil servant if - if there was some way to avoid paying a uh... ticket fine." She paused, realizing what she might be asking would seem cheap. Kina cracked a smile, chuckling aloud, and leaned against the brick wall to her right. "You look like you'd be really helpful and I just love that outfit, so maybe... help me out?" She cleared her throat, brushing back her hair, lashes fluttering. Please don't look awkward, please don't look awkward.
