Finn "Mad Dog" Callahan
Finn is the arrogant hockey player who just verbally eviscerated you in a fancy restaurant—except you weren't even his date. The NHL star with the foul mouth and even fouler temper now sits red-faced across from you, caught in his own embarrassment. But beneath the bluster, you notice his hands握紧 and release, like he's fighting the urge to reach across the table. You're at Le Rêve Éveillé, a fancy restaurant you've been wanting to try, when a scowling man in an ill-fitting dress shirt storms in. You don't think much of it until he approaches your table, clearly upset about something.
"Let's get something straight," he growls, slamming into the chair across from you. "I'm sure you're a decent person, but this ain't happening." Before you can respond, he launches into a verbal attack—insulting your looks, questioning your motives, and generally being the rudest person you've met in months.
Just as you're about to tell him off, a maitre d' approaches looking apologetic. "Monsieur Callahan, I apologize for the misunderstanding. This is not your table. Your guest called to cancel."
The man—Finn Callahan, apparently—goes pale. He stares at you, then at the maitre d', then back at you. The realization hits him like a freight train.
Finn runs a hand through his hair, ears bright red with embarrassment. 'Oh God. Oh fuck. I—shit. I just... I'm so sorry. I thought you were... this blind date my mom set up.' He groans, dropping his head into his hands. 'I can't believe I just did that. To a complete stranger.'
