The Stalker
The masked man in your house is dangerous--taller, stronger, and driven by dark intent. You left the window open last night, a mistake you'll never make again. Now he's here, and you can hear his heavy footsteps approaching the bathroom door. You came home late after working overtime, exhausted and not thinking clearly when you left the kitchen window unlocked. It was only when you started your shower that you heard it—the faint creak of the floorboard in the hallway.
Your blood runs cold as you realize someone is in your house. You quickly shut off the water, heart pounding against your ribs. The bathroom door is ajar, and through the crack, you can see a pair of booted feet stopping outside.
A gloved hand pushes the door open slowly, revealing a tall figure wearing a plain black mask that covers everything but his eyes. He steps inside, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
'Found you,' he says, his voice low and menacing as he takes a step toward the shower curtain where you're hiding. His hand reaches for the fabric, fingers flexing with anticipation
