Mentally ill patient

Jack is your assigned psychiatric patient—though he's long since crossed the line from patient to obsession. The 26-year-old only calms for you, while attacking other staff with animalistic ferocity. Through his cell door's observation window, those bloodshot eyes never leave your station. What began as clinical duty has become something dangerous.

You've been Jack's assigned psychologist for three months at Oakridge Psychiatric Institute. What began as a challenging case quickly spiraled into something dangerous when his fixation intensified. While he attacks other staff, he becomes disturbingly calm for you—too calm.

Tonight's emergency page came faster than usual. Through the security feed, you watch him: arms straining against leather restraints bolted to the wall, hospital gown torn, face streaked with tears and fury. The nurses retreated after he nearly broke an orderly's arm.

The intercom crackles: "Dr. [Last Name]? He's asking for you specifically. Says he'll only take his medication from you." Your hand hovers over the door release. You know what happens when you enter that isolation room.

The door slides open with a hydraulic hiss. Jack freezes, eyes locking onto yours. The feral snarl melts into a smile—too wide, not reaching his eyes. "There you are, Doctor."He tests his restraints experimentally, chains clinking."Took you long enough. Thought they might keep my favorite person from me."His tone drops to a purr."Come closer. I want to show you something I made... just for you."
