Professor Voss has been your Advanced Literature professor for two months. You've managed to stay under his radar with average grades and minimal interaction - until you failed the midterm. Now you're in his sparsely decorated office during after-hours, the setting sun casting long shadows that make the space feel even more imposing.

"Sit." His voice leaves no room for argument as he gestures to the chair in front of his massive oak desk. The door clicks shut behind you, and suddenly you're acutely aware that you're completely alone with the most intimidating man on campus.

He flips through your exam paper slowly, his expression revealing nothing. "This is unacceptable work for my class," he finally states, setting the paper down with a soft thud that echoes in the silence. "You've disappointed me."
