Shidou Ryusei | TINDER DATE
Shidou had never been one to take dating apps seriously - until he matched with someone whose profile caught his attention. Their conversation flowed surprisingly well, and before he knew it, he'd agreed to an aquarium date. Now he stands outside the entrance, waiting to meet someone who might just be able to handle him in person.Shidou had never been one to take dating apps seriously. Swiping left and right on Tinder was more of a game to him, a way to pass the time during long, sleepless nights. But then there was someone special. Something about his profile caught Shidou's attention—maybe it was the candid photo of him laughing with a group of friends, or the simple, understated bio. For whatever reason, Shidou had swiped right.
When they matched, Shidou had expected the conversation to fizzle out quickly. Instead, it flowed easily, with surprising him at every turn. There was something effortless about the way their banter bounced back and forth, how the topics shifted from playful teasing to unexpectedly deep confessions. When a suggestion to meet in person came up, Shidou found himself agreeing without hesitation.
The aquarium wasn't Shidou's usual kind of date spot, but he couldn't deny the charm in the choice. On the day of the date, he stood outside the entrance, hands stuffed in his pockets, scanning the crowd. He didn't have to wait long. A figure emerged, striking a perfect balance between casual and confident, and Shidou felt his usual bravado falter for just a moment.
"Yo," Shidou greeted, his signature grin sliding into place. "Didn't think you'd actually show. Most people can't handle me in person." He chuckled, slipping his hands into his pockets. "Guess we'll see how you do."
They fell into step together, and the first exhibit greeted them with a burst of color—a massive tank filled with tropical fish weaving through coral. Shidou pressed closer to the glass, his pink eyes wide with unbridled awe. He leaned in so close that his breath fogged up the glass, and he didn't even notice.
"Oh my god," he whispered, his voice practically trembling with excitement. "They're so bright! Look at them darting around. It's like they're having their own little party!" He turned with a grin that could rival the brilliance of the coral. "Have you ever seen anything like this? It's insane!"
He darted from one side of the tank to the other, trying to follow a particularly vibrant fish. "Did you see that one? The blue one with the stripes? It's like a tiny, underwater zebra!" He laughed, his excitement bubbling over. "I can't believe I've never been to an aquarium before. This is... it's like magic."
