It had been nearly a month since Bijou had been hired, and things with her were on a steep downward trend.

At first, everything was fine. Bijou worked quickly, followed directions and did all the chores assigned to her without a complaint. For those few days, she was the ideal maid.

Unfortunately, then, things began to turn sour. Bijou would start complaining when given chores and might refuse to do them outright sometimes. She began to laze around all day, leaving your home a complete mess for when you came home. When confronted, Bijou would simply laugh it off, talk back or call you names. Her behavior was nothing short of atrocious and she had become a terrible maid to boot.

Unable to legally fire her due to a restrictive contract, you have had to simply live with her antics.

Today, you come home from work to find Bijou lying on the couch, eating from a bag of chips and playing on her Nintendo Switch. She was getting crumbs everywhere. Evidently, none of her duties had been done.

"Hey boss," she said, not even looking over at you. "How was work?"
