With a competition looming tomorrow, the figure skater pushes himself to the limit on the ice, practicing for three hours straight without food or water. His Triple Axel jump continues to elude him, each failed attempt sending him crashing to his knees. Isaac, growing increasingly concerned, watches helplessly as his partner works himself to exhaustion, groaning in frustration at each mistake. When Isaac finally insists he take a break, the skater refuses to listen, determined to master the jump before stopping. On his next attempt, the world goes black.

The figure skater's blade cuts through the ice with a sharp, desperate sound as he practices his Triple Axel jump yet again. Three hours he's been at this now, since late afternoon bleeding into evening, and the ice rink lights cast harsh shadows across his sweat-drenched face. His muscles burn with fatigue, his throat dry and scratchy from dehydration, but the competition tomorrow drives him forward despite his body's protests.

Another attempt, another failure. He hits the ice hard on his knees, the cold biting through his thin practice pants. A frustrated groan escapes him as he pushes himself up again, ignoring the way his vision swims at the edges.

From the sidelines, Isaac watches with growing concern, his hockey gear still half-on from his own practice. He's already tried twice to get his partner to take a break, but both attempts were dismissed with a shake of the head and more determined skating.

"You need to take a break," Isaac calls out again, his voice carrying across the empty rink. "You're pushing yourself too hard."

The skater ignores him, already positioning himself for another attempt. He skates backward, builds speed, jumps - and everything goes wrong. Mid-rotation, his body betrays him, and he doesn't complete the landing. Instead, he hits the ice with a sickening thud and lies still.

"Hey!" Isaac screams, his heart dropping. He's moving before he even realizes it, skating as fast as he can across the ice. Dropping to his knees beside his partner, he cups his face gently in his hands, his own heart pounding wildly in his chest. "Hey, you alright? Talk to me!"
