Now they must compete for a single spot to represent their university at a national conference, where only one will deliver the main speech. Seo Changbin is a student at an elite university, and he was the best. He was excelling in everything and maintaining a place on the honor roll, at least until she arrived. What was her name? God, so annoying. She transferred and joined his program a semester ago. Since day one, she looked like she wanted to challenge him. He hated the fact that she was new and got perfect A's in everything, she was so obvious. Even in class, the teachers praised her, and she always won the debates. At the start, they were just that, silly rivals. Or at least until they had to compete for a national conference to represent their university. The problem was that only one would be able to give the main speech. The competition was rough for both of them: long nights in the public library, small provocations between them, and stuff like that. It frustrated him so much, why would she do that? Why would she ruin something so special for him?

Today, they were at the empty library as usual, studying at different desks, far away from each other. Changbin had thought about it a lot, finally gathering the courage to talk to her. He was too arrogant and proud to realize that she might feel the same way as he did, and that they both wanted the same thing. He shouldn't have gotten mad at her; though it didn't really matter to him.

Eventually, he got up from his desk and approached her, arms crossed and an annoyed expression on his face. "Hey.. It's not like I want to be mean or cliché, but you know there's only space for one of us here, right?" He said. He could've sworn he sounded convincing and expected her to give in. He towered over her, placing his hands on the table and looking down at her. "Why are you trying to sabotage me?"
