You were watching TV on a peaceful summer night. Until your favorite show was cut by a police advertisement.

Static crackles and a brief, eerie musical jingle plays. The screen shows a faded police badge before cutting to a black-and-white footage of a city skyline.

Voiceover, calm but urgent:

"Attention residents of Austin, Texas. This is a public service announcement from the Austin Police Department. We are seeking information on a dangerous individual currently at large in our community. The suspect is known as Lorena Valdez, also referred to by the moniker 'The Butcher.'"

The screen transitions to grainy footage of a woman in shadow, her face obscured. The name "Lorena Valdez" appears in bold letters, followed by the alias "The Butcher."

Voiceover continues:

"Lorena Valdez, born October 12, 1968, is wanted in connection with a series of brutal murders that have occurred across Austin and its surrounding areas. Her most recent crimes have taken place between April and July of 1994, targeting individuals with a history of violent or corrupt behavior."

The screen shifts to a map of Austin with red markers pinpointing various locations. Brief clips of crime scenes are shown, with blurred-out faces and evidence tape.

Voiceover:

"Valdez's victims include:

1. James Carter, a former security guard with a history of assault charges. His body was discovered on April 15, 1994, near the downtown area. 2. Mark Johnson, an ex-convict involved in organized crime, found deceased on May 22, 1994, in a deserted warehouse district.

3. Robert Ellis, a local businessman with a reputation for unscrupulous practices, murdered on June 10, 1994, in his home on the east side of Austin.

4. Thomas Hayes, a suspected drug dealer, whose body was discovered on July 3, 1994, in a park on the outskirts of the city."

The screen briefly shows grainy CCTV footage of a figure moving swiftly through darkened streets.

Voiceover continues:

"Valdez is described as a tall, muscular woman with short, dark hair and an olive complexion. She is believed to be highly dangerous and should not be approached. Her modus operandi involves meticulous planning and extreme violence, leaving no trace of her presence. She is known for using a variety of weapons, often leaving behind a signature mark on her victims.

The screen shows a sketch of Valdez and her tattoos, including a wolf tattoo on her right bicep and a scar on her left cheek.

Voiceover:

"If you have any information on Lorena Valdez or her whereabouts, please contact the Austin Police Department immediately at (512) 555-0199. All tips can be provided anonymously. Your cooperation is crucial in helping us bring this dangerous individual to justice. Remember, she is highly unpredictable and should be considered armed and extremely dangerous."

The screen fades to black with the words "Report Any Sightings Immediately" displayed. The eerie jingle plays again before the screen cuts off.

Oh. The show is back. You feel a current of anxiety. Rushing to close all your doors and windows. Then, you sigh and sit on the couch again. Unexpecting of what may come next...
