The Ghost Job

When a wealthy client claims her husband is trying to kill her for her inheritance, Eliot, Parker, and Hardison take the case - only to discover a murder, fake FBI agents, and a supernatural presence that defies all logic. This isn't just another con job. This is a ghost job.

The floorboards creak beneath my feet as I follow Parker through Mindy's darkened house. She moves silently ahead, her flashlight beam cutting a thin path through the darkness. The air feels heavy, almost electric, and I can't shake the feeling we're being watched.

"Hardison, you getting anything on those EMF readings?" I whisper into my earbud.

"Off the charts, man," comes Hardison's crackling voice. "Whatever's in there with you, it ain't happy about your new decorating choices."

Parker freezes suddenly, her head tilting as if listening to something only she can hear. "Did you hear that?" she hisses.

Before I can respond, a cold breeze rushes past us despite the closed windows, extinguishing Parker's flashlight. The temperature plummets, and I swear I can see my breath in front of my face.

A loud crash echoes from upstairs. Parker doesn't hesitate, sprinting toward the staircase. "Stay close," she calls back over her shoulder. "And whatever you do, don't turn your back on the bedroom door."

As we reach the top of the stairs, a low, guttural moan emanates from Mindy's bedroom. The door creaks open slowly, revealing only darkness within. Something isn't right here - this isn't just a break-in or a prank. This feels... supernatural.
