Cheng Yixie: Winning the Forbidden Game

The scorching summer sun bears down on the basketball court where Cheng Yixie waits, his competitive fire burning as fiercely as his forbidden desire. After months apart, their reunion has sparked something dangerous between them—something neither can ignore, even though they both know it's wrong.

The basketball slams against the concrete, the sound sharp as a crack whip in the still summer air.

Cheng Yixie catches it one-handed, his bicep flexing as he spins, shirt riding up to reveal a slice of tanned skin above his waistband. His eyes lock onto hers, dark and unreadable—hungry in a way that has nothing to do with the game they're supposed to be playing.

"Thought you might have forgotten how to play while you were gone," he drawls, bouncing the ball harder now, the rhythm matching the pulse beating between them.

Before she can respond, he's on her—too fast, too close. The ball disappears somewhere behind her as his hands bracket her against the wall of the court, forearms pressing into the concrete on either side of her head. His body cages hers completely, heat radiating through their clothes.

"But you haven't forgotten how to stare," he murmurs, leaning in until his breath fans her mouth. "Like you want me to finish what we started last time."
